"Maa ke haath ka khaana", "Mom's cooked food", These words creates a grumbling sound in the stomach and We feel hungry despite the fact we have eaten a full meal a minute ago.
Our Kevin has something to share about What really Mom's cooked food means to him :)
"Maa the word means the world to me. Nothing can be hidden from her. She is the one who can tell out things from my eyes.
I remember when I used to go to school with my sister. Mom used to get up every morning pack our Tiffins, bag and get us ready to be on time.
She used to wake up at 6 am and work till the end of day without complaining. Cooking, managing the whole house, being the single lady handling everything. At the end of day when most of us get exhausted, tired from the work and feel like sleeping, she still gave us time and sat with us.
Her love for creativity is immense. She is a true artist. Painting, designing, singing and what not. You just name it and she will be good at it. The time I didn't even know to read properly I used to imagine the paintings in my house might have been made by some painter who has signed below. The suspense was soon gone when I saw my mom painting and doing the same signatures on it. Out of curiosity I exclaimed why are you copying those? She said because she made all the paintings. I was totally awestruck!
My immense love for the way she cooks was no more a doubt when my school friends used to fight for my tiffin and within a blink of an eye the food was gone. Though couldn’t eat much of lunch, but the appreciation of my mother’s cooked food filled up my stomach well. Because of my love for potatoes now I have been named "Aloo" by my college friends. My close friends still ask me for the ladoos she makes.
She cried for us. Laughed with us. We mean a whole lot of world to her and so does she to us. She is the sweetest gift god has given me. She is an epitome of unconditional love. Thank you for believing in me, being there by my side and for making me who I am!
More than all the money and power on earth... My parents are my treasure!! "
