#DearMomWithLove: Hero
We have seen Heroes in the movies, comic books and even in Captain America and Iron Man. But have you ever lived with one?
We bet you are living with one right now.
Thanks to our wonderful friend, Juhi Agarwal for sharing with us about the HERO of your life.
"Backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils , these are the things that kids are expected to bring to school with them. But for me, there was one extra accessory I grew accustomed to taking to school everyday : " My mom ". Yes, my mommy was a teacher at my school. It was definitely a roller-coaster ride for me with my " mommy " as a teacher in the same school I studied. But now, almost 4 years after I passed out my school , the whole thing brings a wide smile on my face.
Whenever my mom came to my class for substitution, I used to become the center of attraction. All my classmates would stare at me to see if I would say ' Good Morning Ma'am ' or ' Good Morning Mom ' . And this always rose a question in my mind , ' How do I address her - ma'am/mom/teacher ? ' . While all my friends took liberty in calling her ''Aunty " in school. I always chose the first ground i.e. " Ma'am " , purposefully because I never wanted to be overshadowed or feel overprotected as a student. But believe me, this embarrassment of calling your own mom as 'ma'am' topped it all. Even if I sincerely studied and obtained good marks, everyone thought I topped the class because I was a teachers's daughter. All my classmates thought, I knew the question paper before the exam, which was apparently not true at all. But there were indeed more perks than shortcomings.
I was known by almost every kid in school, because of my mom . I would get all the candies or atleast one birthday chocolate everyday , which I still do. I owned all her beautiful Teachers's Days's presents. Well, there are innumerable perks to be mentioned here.
All in all , life in school would have been different without my mom. ' Worse ' definitely. During all my years , I never missed her. We literally spent 24 hours together under the same roof. My mother actually saw me growing, saw my all round development and I know she always used to swell with pride whenever any other teacher praised me.
As I gave an insight of my roller-coaster ride at school, I only tried to show my personal side of it. But on a serious note, I got to see how my mother has managed to be strong out of love for her profession and vulnerable out of love for her daughters ( me and my elder sister ) at the same time. Hats off mom ! She has been everything a daughter could ask for and more. I'll love her forever because she gives me wings and makes me stronger and wiser every single day. She is the biggest support to me . Me and my sisters really can't thank her enough for playing the role of a strong and caring father and sensitive and loving mother so beautifully to us simultaneously. She is our ' No. 1 ' Hero.
Happy Mother's Day to our Mumma and to all the beautiful moms out there ! "
Indeed the Bond between a Mother and the daughter is beautiful in its on way.
